Art Director Josh Powell at Project Upland Magazine contacted me to create a full page plus 3 spot illustrations for “In Search of the Last Bobwite”, article written by Michael Fitzgerald.

I drew from a plethora of reference images of the Carden alvars in Ontario along with images from the writer. For the title page, I referenced all the various animal and botanical species in the article, and arranged them in a style that harkens a vintage natural history painting.
